Willimantic, Conn.—Seniors
Shayna Cousineau (Cranston, R.I.) and
Jamie Dobson (Bradford, R.I.) each took home first place finishes as the Rhode Island College women's outdoor track and field team competed at the Eastern Connecticut State Invitational on Friday afternoon.
THE BASICS
Rhode Island College finished fourth (four teams) with a team score of 22.0. Eastern Connecticut (108.0) finished first, followed by Southern Maine (99.0) in second and Keene State (55.0) in third.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Cousineau finished first in the 5,000m (19:09.92).
• Dobson finished first in the hammer (44.83m) and second in the javelin (33.18m).
• Senior
Bryana Mullin (Warwick, R.I.) finished fourth in the 800m (2:37.29).
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Little East Championship, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, May 1 (11 a.m.).
