Naibel Noriega (Providence, R.I.) the Anchorwomen's 4x400m relay team were recognized by the Little East for their respective performances at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on March 19-21.
Pezza was named the Little East Women's Track Athlete of the Week. She finished fifth in the 4x400m relay (4:01.81), 12th in the 4x100m relay (48.95), 16th in the triple jump (10.77m), 26th in the long jump (5.14m), 28th in the 200m (25.53;
personal bests) and 41st in the 100m preliminaries (12.55).
Noriega was named the Little East Women's Rookie Track Athlete of the Week. She finished fifth in the 4x400m relay (4:01.81), 10th in the 400m (58.67), 12th in the 4x100m relay (48.95;
personal best), 36th in the 200m (25.88;
personal best) and 42nd in the 100m preliminaries (12.56;
personal best).

The Anchorwomen finished 15th as a team (29 teams) with a score of 14.0.
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at Bryant's Black and Gold Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28.
