Gabrielle Sweeney (Shirley, Mass.) and freshman pitcher
Mia Crudale (Cranston, R.I.) were recognized by the Little East for their respective performances in a 3-1 week for the Anchorwomen.
Sweeney was named the Little East Player of the Week. She played in four games, starting all of them, to begin the 2026 campaign in Florida. Sweeney batted .500 (6-for-12) with two runs scored, six hits, two doubles and an RBI. She went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI in the Anchorwomen's, 8-3, win over St. Scholastica on March. 7. Sweeney went 3-for-3 with a run scored as RIC edged North Central, 4-3, on March 8.
Crudale was named the Little East Pitcher and Rookie of the Week. Crudale appeared in three games. She was 2-0 with a 1.14 ERA and five strikeouts in 12.1 innings of work. She came on in relief and secured her first collegiate win, allowing just one run on three hits in three innings of work, as RIC bested St. Scholastica, 8-3, on March 7. Crudale did not allow a run on three hits and picked up the win in relief as the Anchorwomen downed North Central, 4-3, on March 8.
