Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior defender Amara Gibau (North Providence, R.I.) was named Second Team All-Little East and senior midfielder Ashley Rewers (Oakdale, Conn.) was named to the league's Sportsmanship Team for their respective performances in women's lacrosse during the 2023 season.
 
Gibau played 16 games, starting all of them. She had eight goals and one assist for nine points to go along with 74 ground balls, 36 draw controls and 36 caused turnovers. Gibau led the team in ground balls and caused turnovers and was tied for the lead in draw controls. She had four goals, seven ground balls and six draw controls in a 22-11 loss at Mount Holyoke on March 22. Gibau picked up nine ground balls in a 17-1 setback at St. Joseph (Conn.) on March 15.

Rewers played in 16 games, starting all of them. She had three goals and one assist for four points to go along with 26 ground balls, 18 draw controls and eight caused turnovers.


 
Head Coach Neil Dupre's team finished the season with a 1-15 overall record and an 0-5 mark in the Little East.
