Plymouth State Downs Anchorwomen, 19-5

Plymouth, N.H.--Junior midfielder Lily Nees (Rehoboth, Mass.) scored a hat trick, picked up seven ground balls and had four draw controls as Rhode Island College fell, 19-5, in a Little East contest vs. Plymouth State played at Panther Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Panthers got four goals before Nees put in the first for RIC, but it was the hosts who were dominant and closed out the first stanza ahead, 7-1.
 
• The Panthers kept the visitors scoreless during the second period and put the game out of reach with a 12-1 lead at halftime.
 
• Sophomore attacker Kaylee Vieira (East Providence, R.I.) notched a goal in the third, but the damage was already done by the hosts who outshot RIC, 46-16, on the day.
 
• Nelly recorded her sixth hat-trick of the season.

• Sophomore goalkeeper Abaigeal Estano (Goffstown, N.H.) saved 13 shots and picked up five ground balls in the loss (0-6).
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East play at home vs. Western Connecticut on Wednesday, April 15 (4 p.m.).
