Providence, R.I.--Junior midfielder Lily Nees (Rehoboth, Mass.) notched her seventh hat trick of the season as Rhode Island College fell vs. Western Connecticut, 24-6, in Little East action played at Alumni Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• WestConn shut out the Anchorwomen, 17-0, through the first half of action.
 
• Sophomore midfielder Brie Macaruso (Ashaway, R.I.) gave the Anchorwomen their first goal in the third and the hosts kept pace with the Wolves in the final stanza, but the damage from the first half was too much to overcome.

• Sophomore goalkeeper Abaigeal Estano (Goffstown, N.H.) made five saves in the loss (0-6).
 
• Nees finished with three goals, three ground balls, three caused turnovers and six draw controls.
