Rhode Island College (7-1)
Penn State Altoona (1-8)
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME ONE:
• Penn State Altoona got on the board in the first inning thanks to back-t- back triples. The Anchormen responded with a senior third basemen Ray Zincone (West Warwick, RI) single to the right field gap, which scored senior second basemen Nate Vigeant (Coventry, RI) from second base.
• The Anchormen gained the lead on a wild pitch that scored freshman first basemen John Willette (Johnston, RI) in the bottom of the first.
• A junior right fielder Nick D'Ambra (Coventry, RI) triple in the second inning plated senior shortstop Rommy Morel (Providence, RI) from second, and a throwing error allowed D'Ambra to cross the plate, to give the Anchormen a 4-1 lead.
• Morel doubled in the fifth inning to bring in senior catcher Sam Franco (Cranston, RI) to make the score 5-1. Franco singled in the sixth to push across another run to give the Anchormen a 6-1 lead.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME TWO:

• Senior catcher Nick Feola (North Providence, RI) increased the RIC lead to five, 5-0, with a two-out, RBI single to the gap in right center during the fifth inning. Morel singled to left center, which drove in another run to increase the lead to 6-0.
• Silva stole second in the fourth inning to break the RIC stolen base record, which was previously held by his father, RIC Athletic HOFer Len Silva '87. He then added to the record in the sixth inning with another stolen base. Silva currently has 66 career steals.
