Aiden Bolwell (Chepachet, R.I.) went 1-for-2 with a triple and a pair of RBI as Rhode Island College defeated Roger Williams, 7-6, at Pontarelli Field on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• A Bolwell triple in the bottom of the first started the scoring for the hosts as they put up a pair of runs to lead, 2-0, going to the second.
• Although the Hawks got one back, another RBI by Bolwell in the third frame on a sacrifice fly put the Anchormen back ahead by two, 3-1.
• The Hawks took the lead in the fourth stanza, 4-3, but senior classmates
Sean Gallagher (Warwick, R.I.) and
CJ Almagno (North Providence, R.I.) both scored to start a three-run sixth inning from the Anchormen.
• Senior first baseman
Daniel Cascio (East Hampton, N.Y.) scored on a fielder's choice in the seventh stanza to make it, 7-5, and would cap off the host's offensive output on the day.
• Sophomore pitcher
Aiden Cherniawski (Pawtucket, R.I.) earned the win out of the bullpen (1-0), while senior pitcher
Calvin Battersby (West Warwick, R.I.) notched a save for the second consecutive day.
