Box Score Providence, R.I.--Rhode Island College senior attacker Alasondra Apici (Providence, RI), senior midfielder Taylor Theriault (Lincoln, RI) and senior midfielder Jessica Trautman (Narragansett, RI) were honored on Senior Day prior to the Anchorwomen's season-finale, 13-3, setback vs. Western Connecticut at Alumni Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Western Connecticut struck first just 3:01 into the game when freshman midfielder Caroline Galligan (Marshfield, MA) scored. Freshman midfielder Kelly Laurenco (New Milford, CT) netted back-to-back strikes with 23:35 and 22:25 left in the first half to stake the visitors to a 3-0 advantage.
• Trailing, 4-0, with 15 minutes left in the first half, Apici set up freshman midfielder Giana Ritchie (Cumberland, RI) for the host's first goal. Theriault scored with 7:30 remaining to pull RIC within two, 4-2. WCSU junior midfielder Lauren Bradshaw (Bethel, CT) scored with 6:51 left to send the Colonials into halftime holding a 5-2 lead.
• Western got back-to-back strikes from Galligan to open the second half and did not look back, scoring eight straight before Ritchie tallied on a free position shot with just over eight minutes left.
• Western Connecticut freshman goalkeeper Jennifer Sawicki (Westbury, NY) made five stops in the win (4-12), while RIC junior netminder Julia Eaton (Cumberland, RI) stopped 63 percent of the shots she faced with 22 saves in a losing effort (1-11).
• Galligan finished with five goals and an assist for six points and picked up five ground balls. Bradshaw totaled two goals, three assists, five points, five ground balls and five draw controls. Laurenco notched a hat trick with three goals and picked up three ground balls.
• Ritchie finished with two goals three ground balls, four draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers for the Anchorwomen.
