• Eastern Connecticut controlled the action early and used three goals less than a minute apart early in the first half to take a 7-0 lead after a free position goal from sophomore attack Alyssa Powers (Ellington, CT) with 19:42 left in the stanza.
• The visiting Warriors had eight different goal scorers as they took a 13-0 advantage.
• Rhode Island got on the board with one minute remaining in the first stanza when senior midfielder Taylor Theriault (Lincoln, RI) scored to make it 13-1.
• Eastern Connecticut took the 12-goal lead heading into halftime after outshooting RIC by a 24-9 margin.
• The two teams played a scoreless second half with Eastern Connecticut holding possession for much of the stanza.
• Senior attacker Jenna Glynn (West Granby, CT) had three goals and four assists for seven points in the win for Eastern Connecticut.
• Junior midfielder Michelina Pinto (Groton, CT) also had a hat trick for the Warriors, scoring three goals with two assists for five points.

• Eastern Connecticut held the advantage in shots, 32-15, a 30-20 advantage in ground balls and led in draw controls, 12-6.
