Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College junior guard Meagan Schuermann (Cooperstown, N.Y.) was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Weekly Honor Roll Second Team for her performance in a 1-1 week for the Anchorwomen.

Schuermann registered 13 points and three rebounds in a 54-53 loss at Connecticut College on Jan. 13. She posted 23 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a pair of steals in a 74-63 win vs. UMass Boston on Jan. 17.

For the season, she has played in 16 games, starting all of them. Schuermann is averaging 15.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.2 bpg and 1.6 spg.

Head Coach Jenna Cosgrove's team is 11-5 overall and 5-2 in the Little East.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East play at Eastern Connecticut on Wednesday, Jan. 21 (5 p.m.).
