Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College junior forward Amber Almeida (Sturbridge, Mass.) was named the Little East Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in a 2-0 week for the Anchorwomen.

She totaled two goals and three assists for seven points. Almeida notched an assist as RIC won, 4-0, at Curry on Sept. 10. She posted two goals and two assists for six points as the Anchorwomen opened Little East play with a 5-1 victory at Plymouth State on Sept. 13.

For the season, Almeida has played in five games, starting all of them. She has three goals and three assists for nine points.

Head Coach Phil Pincince's team is 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the Little East.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East play at home vs. UMass Boston on Saturday, Sept. 20 (1 p.m.).
