Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior back Karen Johnson-Hoffman (Groton, Conn.) was named the Little East Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in a 1-1 week for the Anchorwomen.

Johnson-Hoffman was stellar on the back end as RIC opened the 2025 season with a hard-fought, 1-0, setback vs. Salem State on Aug. 29. She helped the club shut out Dean, 3-0, holding the Bulldogs to no shots on goal, on Aug. 31.

Head Coach Phil Pincince's team is 1-1 on the season.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Salve Regina on Wednesday, Sept. 3 (4 p.m.).
