HOW IT HAPPENED
• Almeida made a difference 13 minutes into the game as her attempt slid right inside the far post for what proved to be the game-winner. It was the host's first shot of the contest.

• Despite controlling the pace of the game and racking nine shots in the first half, the Seahawks trailed by one goal at halftime.

• The second half would tell a similar story with Salve Regina created more chances. However, RIC freshman goalkeeper
Oceanna Orlandi (East Greenwich, R.I.) was brilliant in net with several diving stops to her credit as the Anchorwomen kept the visitors scoreless for the rest of the game.

Tayshia Cary (Wakefield, R.I.) for the team's second goal to insure RIC of the win in the 83

• Orlandi was excellent in the win (2-1), garnering seven saves and extending her shutout streak to 224 minutes.

• Salve Regina has been held off the board for 180 minutes to start the 2025 campaign.
