Hannah Ambrosia ’21 Named Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College has named Hannah Ambrosia '21 as an assistant women's lacrosse coach.
 
"After five seasons on the field as a player, I'm excited to be able to come back as an assistant coach," Ambrosia said. "It will be a great experience to continue to watch and help this team grow."
 
The defender closed out her career having played in 52 games, starting 47 of them, from 2017-21. She had eight goals and two assists for 10 points to go along with 54 ground balls, 21 draw controls and 16 caused turnovers.
 
As a senior in 2021, Ambrosia played in eight games, starting all of them. She had five goals and one assist for six points to go along with nine ground balls, 18 draw controls and four caused turnovers. Ambrosia registered two goals and added one assist in a 13-9 loss to Castleton on April 17.
 
As a senior in 2020 (Covid-19 shortened), Ambrosia played in three games, starting all of them. She totaled eight ground balls, one draw control and three caused turnovers. Ambrosia collected six ground balls and one caused turnover in a 19-14 loss at Mass. Maritime on March 11. She registered one ground ball, one draw control and two caused turnovers in a 17-5 loss at Emerson on March 9.
 
As a junior in 2019, Ambrosia played in 14 games, starting all of them. She had 18 ground balls and two caused turnovers. Ambrosia had three ground balls in a game on two occasions. She had three ground balls and a caused turnover in a 14-2 win vs. Southern Vermont on March 24 and again in a 13-4 victory vs. UMass Dartmouth on April 17.
 
As a sophomore in 2018, Ambrosia played in 12 games, starting all of them. She had two goals and one assist for three points to go along with 14 grounds balls and five caused turnovers. Ambrosia had two goals and an assist vs. Dean on March 19.
 
As a freshman in 2017, Ambrosia played in 15 games, starting 10 of them. She totaled one goal for one point. Ambrosia scored one goal, picked up two ground balls and caused one turnover in a 16-7 loss vs. Elms on April 28.
 
She earned a bachelor's degree in environmental studies and a minor in geography from Rhode Island College in 2021.
