Eastern Connecticut (11-3, 3-2 LEC)
Rhode Island College (1-8, 0-5 LEC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Warriors came out of the gates with a purpose as they netted 10 goals and outshot the hosts, 17-0, in the first 15 minutes.

• The Anchorwomen were the first on the board in the second stanza as freshman midfielder Jaina Yekelchik (North Scituate, R.I.) batted one in off her stick.

• Greene would tally a goal right after Yekelchik, but Eastern would not allow another RIC goal for the rest of the half as the Warriors led by 13, 15-2, at the break.

• The Anchorwomen allowed just three goals in the second half and put up four, thanks to three from Greene and one from senior midfielder Maggie Schwab (Saunderstown, R.I.), as the Warriors emptied their bench.

• Freshman midfielder Brie Macaruso (Ashaway, R.I.) led the team with four draw controls wand two caused turnovers.

• Sophomore goalkeeper Giana Franco (Salem, Conn.) made five saves and led the team with three ground balls in the loss (1-7).
