Box Score Providence, R.I.—Junior guard Keyshaun Jacobs (Lynn, MA) led the way for the Anchormen with 29 points to go along with five rebounds and an assist as the Rhode Island College men's basketball team fell to Johnson and Wales, 92-81, at The Murray Center on Wednesday evening to close out the fall semester.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC controlled the tempo to start the game by draining three quick shots from beyond the three-point arc to take a 9-0 lead in the opening two minutes of action.
• The Anchormen held their largest lead of 11 points, 13-2, after a pair of free throws by junior forward Tim Deng (Portland, ME).
• Going into the halftime intermission, the Anchormen held a two-point, 36-34, lead. Freshman guard Shion Darby (Peekskill, NY) led the Anchormen with 12 points, five boards and a pair of assists over the first 20 minutes. JWU senior guard Brian Hogan-Gary (Staten Island, NY) led the Wildcats with 20 points in the half.
• As the second half began, both teams traded baskets. The Wildcats took their first lead of the day, 43-42, after a three ball from junior guard Justin Bullock (Spring Valley, NY) before the first media timeout of the second half.
• RIC regained the lead after three, three-pointers by Jacobs to put the Anchormen ahead by 10, 58-48, with 12:42 left in the game.
• The Wildcats regained the lead with 8:05 remaining in the half and the Anchormen were not able to mount a comeback.
• JWU stretched its lead out to 10 points, 85-75, with 1:32 left in the half and closed out the Anchormen by 11, 92-81.
• Darby finished with 28 points, six rebounds and six assists. Senior forward Ben Vezele (Providence, RI) finished with eight points and 16 rebounds. Deng finished with seven points and five rebounds.
• Hogan-Gary finished the night with 32 points, 13 rebounds and five assists for the Wildcats.

• RIC shot 33 percent (25-76) from the field, 24 percent (10-for-41) from three-point land and 74 percent (23-for-31) from the foul line.
• JWU shot 39 percent (29-75) from the field, 36 percent (5-for-14) from downtown and 69 percent (27-for-39) from the foul line.
• JWU outrebounded RIC, 52-49.
