2024-25 Rhode Island College Men's Golf Season Summary

Providence, R.I.--Head Coach Bill Volpe's team finished the 2024-25 season with a 1-1 record.
 
The Anchormen placed sixth (six teams) with a two-day score of 656 (328, 328) at the 2024 Little East Men's Golf Championship, hosted by Keene State on October 2-3.
 
Fifth-year Khai Delgado (Wareham, Mass.) averaged a score of 100.5 in three matches on the season. He shot a season-best 89 on the second day of competition at the Roger Williams Invitational on April 7.
 
As a senior in 2023-24, Delgado averaged a score of 103.3 in three matches on the season. He shot a season-best 99 at the RIC Spring Invitational on April 13. 
 
As a junior in 2022-23, Delgado was a reserve on the team in the spring.
 
He is a marketing and management major and a 2020 graduate of Wareham High School.
 
Senior Cameron Mello (Somerset, Mass.) averaged a score of 78.6 in nine matches on the season. He shot a season-best 74 at the Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational on April 28.
 
As a junior in 2023-24, Mello earned Second Team All-Little East honors and was named the team's MVP. Mello averaged a score of 81.2 in eight competitions on the season. He shot a season-best score of 75 and was the medalist at the Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational on April 24.­
 
As a sophomore in 2022-23, Mello averaged a score of 84.1 over nine competitions on the season. He shot a season-best 77 on the second day of the Southern Maine Fall Invitational on Oct. 3.
 
As a freshman in 2021-22, Mello averaged a score of 92.0 over five competitions on the season. He shot a season-low score 84 at Thread City Invitational on May 1.

He is a management major and a 2021 graduate of Somerset Berkley High School.
 
Junior Jasper Bruins Slot (Scituate, R.I.) earned Second Team All-Little East honors. He averaged a score 74.5 in nine matches on the season. Bruins Slot shot a season-best 69 and was the medalist at the Emmanuel Spring Classic on April 16. He was also the medalist at Emmanuel Invitational on Sept. 18, the co-medalist vs. Worcester State on Sept. 19 and the medalist vs. Emmanuel on Sept. 26.
 
Junior Kyle Cullen (Glocester, R.I.) averaged a score of 82.6 in nine matches on the season. He shot a season-best 76 at the Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational on April 28.
 
Junior Nathan Evans (Cranston, R.I.) averaged a score of 96.0 in two matches on the season. His best round was a 95 at the Emmanuel Invitational on Sept. 18.
 
Sophomore Max Nasser (Middletown, R.I.) averaged a score of 89.9 in eight matches for the season. He shot a season-best 83 vs. Worcester State on Sept. 19.

Freshman Ryan Farrell (Warren, R.I.) averaged a score of 87.1 in six matches on the season. His best score was a 79 at the Emmanuel Spring Classic on April 16.
