Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College freshman forward Eva Monahan (Woodstock, Conn.) was named the Little East Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for her performance in a 1-1 week for the Anchorwomen.

It is the second consecutive week that Monahan has received this award.

She had six points and 12 rebounds in a 78-53 win over Bridgewater State on Nov. 25. Monahan contributed six points, nine boards and two blocks in a 62-50 setback vs. Tufts on Nov. 30.

Monahan has played in seven games, starting all of them. She is averaging 8.0 ppg and 8.1 rpg.

Head Coach Jenna Cosgrove's team is 5-2 overall.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will open Little East play at home vs. UMass Dartmouth on Wednesday, Dec. 3 (5:30 p.m.).
