Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior forward
Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) was named Second Team All-District 2 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for his performance during the 2023-24 season.
Kourouma, who was named First Team All-Little East and to the league's All-Defensive Team, played in 26 games, starting 25 of them. He averaged 14.2 ppg, 13.9 rpg and 1.3 bpg. Kourouma scored in double figures 21 times on the season and corralled 10 or more rebounds on 22 occasions. He posted 19 double-doubles. Kourouma scored a career-high 34 points and hauled in 23 rebounds in an 80-70 setback vs. Keene State on Jan. 13.

Sam Ferry's team finished the 2023-24 season with a 15-12 overall record and a 7-9 (fifth place) finish in the Little East. After downing fourth-seeded Southern Maine, 73-70, in the Little East Championship first round, the fifth-seeded Anchormen fell at top-seeded and 11
th-ranked Keene State, 83-68, in the semifinals on Feb. 24.
