Waterford, Conn.--Junior Benjamin Lockwood (Saunderstown, R.I.) and freshman Owen Schenck (Warren, R.I.) competed at the 2024 NCAA Div. III Mideast Men's Cross Country Championship, hosted by Connecticut College at Harkness Memorial State Park on Saturday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• RIC did not score as a team. RPI won the championship with a team score of 29.0.
 
• There were 172 runners in the race, which was covered 8,000m.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Lockwood placed 95^th (27:36.20).
 
• Schenck placed 106^th (27:54.10).

The meet concluded the 2024 men's cross country season and both runners will begin training for the indoor track and field season.
