Mary Holt-Kelch's team finished the 2023 season with a 19-19 overall record and an 8-8 conference mark (fifth place) in the Little East.
RIC qualified for the Little East Championship for the first time since 2014. The No. 5-seeded Anchorwomen made it all the way to day three of the tournament, avoiding elimination on multiple occasions.
On day one, RIC faced off against No. 4 Castleton and fell, 2-0. Later that night in the tournament's first elimination game, the Anchorwomen stayed alive with a 3-0 victory over No. 6 UMass Boston.
On day two, the Anchorwomen took on No. 3 Southern Maine, walking it off, 4-3, in the 10th inning. RIC's journey came to an end at the hands of the Spartans, 11-1, on the third day of the tournament.
Senior catcher
Alexis Boyce (Wolcott, Conn.) closed out her career having played in 96 games, starting 92 of them. She batted .331 (86-for-260) with 47 runs scored, 86 hits, 28 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs, 53 RBI and two stolen bases. Boyce owned a .562 slugging percentage, a .435 on-base percentage and a .963 fielding percentage.
As a senior in 2023, Boyce was named Second Team All-Little East. She played in 37 games, starting all of them. She batted .327 (36-for-110) with 17 runs scored, 36 hits, nine doubles, one triple, five home runs, 27 RBI and one stolen base. Boyce owned a .564 slugging percentage, a .429 on-base percentage and a .962 fielding percentage.
As a junior in 2022, Boyce played in 26 games, starting 25 of them. She batted .323 (20-for-62) with nine runs scored, 20 hits, eight doubles, two home runs and eight RBI. Boyce owned a .548 slugging percentage, a .462 on-base percentage and a .961 fielding percentage.
As a sophomore in 2021, Boyce played in 25 games, starting 22 of them. She batted .313 (20-for-64) with 13 runs scored, 20 hits, six doubles, two home runs, 13 RBI and one stolen base. Boyce owned a .500 slugging percentage, a .392 on-base percentage and a .944 fielding percentage.
As a freshman in 2020, Boyce played in eight games, starting all of them. She batted .417 (10-for-24) with eight runs scored, 10 hits, five doubles, one home run and five RBI. Boyce owned a .750 slugging percentage, a .500 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
She is a biochemistry major and a 2019 graduate of Wolcott High School.
Senior outfielder
Shannon McDonald (Saunderstown, R.I.) closed out her career having played in 28 games. She batted .250 (1-for-4) with eight runs scored, one hit and two stolen bases. McDonald owned a .250 slugging percentage and a .400 on-base percentage.
As a senior in 2023, McDonald was a reserve on the team.
As a junior in 2022, McDonald played in 10 games. She had one run scored and one stolen base.
As a sophomore in 2021, McDonald played in 18 games. She batted .333 (1-for-3) with seven runs scored, one hit and one stolen base. McDonald owned a .333 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage.
She is a communications major with a concentration in speech, language and hearing science and a 2019 graduate of Narragansett High School.
Senior third baseman
Cassidy Schoen (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) closed out her career having played in 81 games, starting 75 of them. She batted .269 (60-for-223) with 23 runs scored, 60 hits, 13 doubles, five home runs and 38 RBI. Schoen owned a .395 slugging percentage, a .331 on-base percentage and a .923 fielding percentage.
As a senior in 2023, Schoen played in 35 games, starting 34 of them. She batted .261 (29-for-111) with nine runs scored, 29 hits, six doubles, four home runs and 18 RBI. She owned a .423 slugging percentage, a .288 on-base percentage and a .864 fielding percentage.
As a junior in 2022, Schoen played in 20 games, starting all of them. She batted .305 (18-for-59) with eight runs scored, 18 hits, four doubles, one home run and 13 RBI. Schoen owned a .424 slugging percentage, a .389 on-base percentage and a .925 fielding percentage.
As a sophomore 2021, Schoen played in 20 games, starting 18 of them. She batted .255 (12-for-47) with six runs scored, 12 hits, three doubles and six RBI. Schoen owned a .319 slugging percentage, a .340 on-base percentage and a .952 fielding percentage.
As a freshman in 2020, Schoen played in six games, starting three of them. She batted .167 (1-for-6) with one hit and one RBI. Schoen owned a .167 slugging percentage, a .375 on-base percentage and 1.000 fielding percentage.
She is a medical imaging major and a 2019 graduate of John Jay High School.
Junior first baseman
Katelyn Ashe (Colchester, Conn.) was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Div. III Region II Second Team All-Region and First Team All-Little East. She played in 37 games, starting all of them. She batted .380 (41-for-108) with 11 runs scored, 41 hits, nine doubles, three home runs and 24 RBI. Ashe owned a .546 slugging percentage, a .481 on-base percentage and a .996 fielding percentage. She was named the Little East Player of the Week once on the season.
Junior center fielder
Avery Katz (Brookfield, Conn.) was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Div. III Region II Second Team All-Region and First Team All-Little East. She played in 38 games, starting all of them. She batted .389 (51-for-131) with 34 runs scored, 51 hits, five doubles, six triples, two home runs, 17 RBI and 25 stolen bases. Katz owned a .565 slugging percentage, a .467 on-base percentage and a .918 fielding percentage. She was named the Little East Player of the Week once on the season.
Junior third baseman
Victoria Young (Sterling, Conn.) was named Second Team All-Little East. She played in 34 games, starting 32 of them. She batted .333 (32-for-96) with 17 runs scored, 32 hits, five doubles, four triples, one home run, 11 RBI and five stolen bases. Young owned a .500 slugging percentage, a .340 on-base percentage and a .960 fielding percentage.
Sophomore shortstop
Amanda Conti (Lincoln, R.I.) played in 38 games, starting all of them. She batted .226 (24-for-106) with 17 runs scored, 24 hits, three doubles, 10 RBI and one stolen base. Conti owned a .255 slugging percentage, a .333 on-base percentage and a .900 fielding percentage.
Sophomore outfielder
Abby Clesas (Johnston, R.I.) played in 32 games, starting six of them. She scored six runs and stole two bases as a pinch runner. Clesas owned a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Sophomore right fielder
Paige Jones (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) played in 32 games, starting 25 of them. She batted .185 (10-for-54) with 13 runs scored, 10 hits, four doubles, six RBI and three stolen bases. Jones owned a .259 slugging percentage, a .313 on-base percentage and a .958 fielding percentage.
Sophomore pitcher
Abby Kidd (Granby, Conn.) was named Second Team All-Little East. She appeared in 25 games, starting 21 of them. She was 13-9 with one save, a 1.90 ERA and 151 strikeouts in 136.2 innings pitched. As a hitter, Kidd played in 19 games, starting 15 of them. She batted .278 (15-for-54) with five runs scored, 15 hits, one double and three RBI. Kidd owned a .296 slugging percentage, a .339 on-base percentage and a .947 fielding percentage. She was named the Little East Pitcher of the Week once on the season.
Sophomore outfielder
Sarah Mickelson (New Milford, Conn.) played in 23 games, starting eight of them. She batted .182 (4-for-22) with three runs scored, four hits and one RBI. Mickelson owned a .182 slugging percentage, a .250 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Freshman left fielder
Sophia Crudale (Cranston, R.I.) was named to the Little East All-Rookie Team. She played in 36 games, starting all of them. She batted .300 (30-for-100) with 18 runs scored, 30 hits, nine doubles, one triple, one home run, 11 RBI and two stolen bases. Crudale owned a .440 slugging percentage, a .393 on-base percentage and a .971 fielding percentage.

Gabby Cunha (Cranston, R.I.) appeared in 16 games, starting eight of them. She was 2-4 with a 3.96 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 63.2 innings pitched.

Freshman second baseman
Noelle Simmons (Manchester, N.H.) was named to the Little East All-Rookie Team. She played in 38 games, starting 37 of them. She batted .349 (44-for-126) with 29 runs scored, 44 hits, 12 doubles, six triples, three home runs, 27 RBI and four stolen bases. Simmons owned a .611 slugging percentage, a .391 on-base percentage and a .971 fielding percentage. She was named the Little East Rookie of the Week two times on the season.
Freshman catcher
Shannon Timmons (Northbridge, Mass.) played in 15 games, starting nine of them. She batted .045 (1-for-22) with one run scored, one hit and one RBI. Timmons owned a .045 slugging percentage, a .160 on-base percentage and a .963 fielding percentage.
Freshman third baseman
Emily Zieba (Cromwell, Conn.) was a reserve on the team.
