RIC Falls at Emmanuel, 2-0

Boston, Mass.--Sophomore forward Kody Poplaski (Bradford, R.I.) had the best scoring attempt of the night in the 74th minute as Rhode Island College fell, 2-0, vs. Emmanuel at Roberto Clemente Field on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Saints were the first to strike after a foul in the box by the Anchormen put the hosts on the spot for a penalty kick goal.
 
• The Anchormen would concede another free kick, this time outside the box, which eventually led to a goal from Emmanuel to give the Saints a 2-0 advantage in the 34th minute.
 
• RIC constructed some offensive chances in the second half as sophomore midfielder Julian Orellana (Providence, R.I.) had the visitors' first chance in the 67th minute, but missed the frame wide.
 
• Junior midfielder Nathan Capelo (Rumford. R.I.) had two near chances on the left side, but EC kept RIC at bay.
 
• Freshman goalkeeper Jake Raymond (Chepachet, R.I.) made three saves in the loss (0-1) before being sent off with a red card in the 77th minute.
