2025 Rhode Island College Women's Volleyball Season Summary

Providence, R.I--Head Coach Jenn Cabral's team closed out the 2025 season with a 13-13 overall record and a 2-6 mark (seventh place) in the Little East.
 
Senior right side hitter Olivia Miranda (Tiverton, R.I.) closed out her career having played in 33 sets in 17 matches. She hit -0.053 (13-17-76) with 13 kills (0.39/set), nine service aces (0.27/set), 16 digs (0.48/set) and four blocks (0.12/set) for her career.
 
As a senior in 2025, Miranda played in six sets in three matches. She hit .143 (2-1-7) with two kills (0.33/set), one service ace (0.17/set) and one block (0.17/set). She recorded a kill and a service ace in a 3-0 sweep vs. VTSU Castleton on Nov. 8.
 
As a junior in 2024, Miranda played in five sets in four matches. She hit .000 (3-3-17) with three kills (0.6/set).  
 
As a sophomore in 2023, Miranda played 22 sets in 10 matches. She hit -.096 (8-13-52) with eight kills (0.36/set), 16 digs (0.73/set), eight service aces (.36/set) and three blocks (.14/set). Miranda posted 10 digs, six service aces and two kills in a 3-2 win over Bard on Nov. 4
 
She is a nursing major and a 2022 graduate of Tiverton High School.
 
Senior middle hitter Sydnee Pires (Rochester, Mass.) closed out her career having played in 315 sets in 90 matches. She hit .177 (461-210-1,418) with 461 kills (1.5/set), 11 assists (0.03/set), five service aces (0.02/set), 106 digs (0.34/set) and 152 blocks (0.48/set) for her career.
 
As a senior in 2025, Pires played in 95 sets in 26 matches. She recorded .206 hitting percentage (178-74-506) with 178 kills (1.87/set), six assists (0.06/set), four service aces (0.04/set), 38 digs (0.40/set) and 59 blocks (0.62/set). Pires racked up a career-high 15 kills and a block in a 3-1 win over Thomas (ME) on Oct. 11. She recorded 10 kills and six blocks in a 3-2 win vs. Regis on Oct. 17. Pires recorded a career-high with nine blocks to go along with six kills in a 3-1 loss at Eastern Connecticut on Oct. 22.
 
As a junior in 2024, Pires played in 79 sets in 23 matches. She hit .189 (134-57-407) with 134 kills (1.70/set), 32 digs (0.41/set) and 30 blocks (0.38/set). Pires reached double digits in kills four times. She recorded a season-high 12 kills in a 3-0 win vs. Salem State on Sept. 24. Pires posted 11 kills and six digs in a 3-1 loss at Keene State on Nov. 2.
 
As a sophomore in 2023, Pires played 96 sets in 26 matches. She hit .140 (113-59-385) with 113 kills (1.18/set), two assists (0.02/set), 23 digs (0.24/set) and 52.0 total blocks (0.54/set). Pires registered nine kills and six total blocks in a 3-2 setback to Nichols on Sept. 9. She had seven kills and four blocks in a 3-1 win vs. VTSU Castleton on Sept. 23.
 
As a freshman in 2022, Pires played in 45 sets in 15 matches. She hit .133 (36-20-120) with 36 kills (0.80/set), one assist (0.02/set), 13 digs (0.29/set) and 11 blocks (0.24/set). Pires registered a season-high eight kills and three digs in a 3-2 LEC win vs. Castleton on Sept. 23.
 
She is a speech and hearing major and a 2022 graduate of Old Rochester High School.
 
Senior middle/right side hitter Bethanie Jean-Philippe (Cranston, R.I.) played in 58 sets in 20 matches. She hit .113 (61-35-231) with 61 kills (1.05/set), four assists (0.07/set), 33 digs (0.57/set) and 32 blocks (0.55/set). Jean-Philippe registered seven kills and one block in a 3-0 win at Mass. Maritime on Sept. 30. She had six kills, three digs and four blocks in a 3-0 win vs. Worcester State on Sept. 9.
 
Junior setter Yuleisy Alvelo (San Juan, Puerto Rico) played in 83 sets in 23 matches. She hit .000 (7-7-56) with seven kills (0.08/set), 392 assists (4.47/set), 30 service aces (0.36/set) and 163 digs (1.96/set). She registered a season-high 33 assists and racked up 12 digs in a five-set win vs. Framingham State on Sept. 4. She handed out 27 assists in the five-set win vs. Regis on Oct. 17.
 
Junior defensive specialist/libero Carolyn Bailey (Ipswich, Mass.) played in 92 sets in 26 matches. She hit -.094 (4-7-32) with four kills (0.04/set), 77 assists (0.84/set), 12 service aces (0.13/set) and 350 digs (3.80/set). She tallied a season-high 26 digs in a 3-2 win vs. Framingham State on Sept. 4. Bailey posted 18 digs and eight assists a 3-1 win vs. Thomas on Oct. 11. She registered 21 digs in the five-set win over Regis on Oct. 17.
 
Junior outside hitter Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) played in 83 sets in 23 matches. She hit .069 (107-72-507) with 107 kills (1.29/set), five assists (0.06/set), 29 service aces (0.35/set), 282 digs (3.40/set) and 10 blocks (0.12/set). She recorded seven kills, 15 digs and a pair of service aces in a 3-0 win vs. Worcester State on Sept. 9. Colonis registered four kills, 12 digs and four service aces in a 3-0 win vs. Mitchell on Sept. 18. She racked up a season-high 21 digs and five kills in a 3-1 vs. UMass Boston on Oct. 4. 
 
Junior pin hitter/defensive specialist Brookelyn Feola (Riverside, R.I.) played in 42 sets in 16 matches. She hit .061 (11-9-33) with 11 kills (0.26/set), one assist (0.02/set), 19 service aces (0.45/set), 23 digs (0.55/set) and one block (0.02/set). She notched five kills, nine service aces and 11 digs in the team's, 3-0, win over Lesley on Sept. 13. Feola recorded four digs and a service ace in a 3-1 loss vs. Emmanuel on Sept. 6.
 
Junior right side hitter Talia Lewis (Sacramento, Calif.) played in 77 sets in 24 matches. She hit .095 (97-63-359) with 97 kills (1.26/set), two assists (0.03/set), 38 digs (0.49/set) and 19 blocks (0.25/set). Lewis posted nine kills and two digs in the five-set win vs. Regis on Oct. 17. She recorded a season-high 10 kills and a pair of digs in a 3-0 sweep at Salem State on Sept. 13. 
 
Junior setter Grace Luchka (North Scituate, R.I.) played in 66 sets in 23 matches. She hit .037 (3-2-27) with three kills (0.05/set), 244 assists (3.70/set), 24 service aces (0.36/set) and 85 digs (1.29/set). Luchka recorded two double-doubles (assists and digs) on the season. She dealt out 19 assists, two digs and one ace in a 3-1 win over Thomas on Oct. 11. Luchka notched a double-double with 15 assists and 11 digs in the sweep of Mass. Maritime on Sept. 30. She also recorded a double-double with 14 assists and 10 digs in a 3-2 win vs. Regis on Oct. 17. 
 
Junior outside hitter Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) played in 95 sets in 26 matches. She hit .157 (256-125-833) with 256 kills (2.69/set), 24 assists (0.25/set), 23 service aces (0.24/set), 255 digs (2.68/set) and 41 blocks (0.43/set). She notched 11 double-doubles on the season (kills and digs). Marines registered 21 kills and 15 digs in a five-set win over Framingham State on Sept. 4. She recorded 10 kills and a season-high 20 digs in a 3-0 win at Salem State on Sept. 13. Marines notched a double-double of 15 kills and 10 digs in the team's, 3-2, win vs. Regis on Oct. 17.
 
Junior setter Paula Pesoa (Johnston, R.I.) played in 34 sets in 13 matches. She hit .061 (7-5-33) with seven kills (0.21/set), 125 assists (3.68/set), six service aces (0.18/set), 70 digs (2.06/set) and two blocks (0.06/set). She registered a pair of double-doubles (assists and digs) on the season. Pesoa dished out 26 assists and racked up13 digs for a double-double in a 3-2 setback at Suffolk on Sept. 20. She notched 14 assists and 10 digs to pair with two kills vs. Worcester State on Sept. 20.
 
Junior middle hitter Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) played in 74 sets in 21 matches. She hit .327 (175-51-379) with 175 kills (2.36/set), two assists (0.03/set), 15 digs (0.20/set) and 59 blocks (0.8/set). She recorded 17 kills and seven blocks in the five-set win vs. Framingham State on Sept. 4. Williams notched 10 kills and four blocks in a 3-1 vs. Wheaton on Oct. 16. She posted 16 kills in a 3-2 loss at Southern Maine on Oct. 11.
 
Sophomore defensive specialist/libero Daniella Escudero (East Providence, R.I.) played in 65 sets in 20 matches. She hit -.333 (1-4-9) with one kill (0.02/set), six assists (0.09/set), 15 service aces (0.23/set) and 81 digs (1.25/set). She racked up 17 digs in a 3-1 loss at Plymouth State on Sept. 27. Escudero had 11 digs and a service ace in a 3-1 win vs. Thomas on Oct. 11.
 
Sophomore defensive specialist Caroline Morrell (Gorham, Maine) was named to the Little East All-Sportsmanship Team. She played in 93 sets in 26 matches. She hit -.286 (0-2-7) with seven assists (0.08/set), 51 service aces (0.55/set) and 59 digs (0.63/set). Morrell posted seven service aces and six digs in a 3-2 win vs. Framingham State on Sept. 4. She racked up seven service aces and three digs in the team's, 3-2, win over Regis on Oct. 17. Morrell registered nine digs in a 3-0 loss at Salve Regina on Oct. 30.
 
Sophomore pin hitter Olivia Rollinson (Coventry, R.I.) played in 43 sets in 16 matches. She hit .132 (60-33-205) with 60 kills (1.40/set), three assists (0.07/set), 11 digs (0.26/set and four blocks (0.09/set). Rollinson registered eight kills and two blocks in a 3-2 loss at Southern Maine on Oct. 11. She notched seven kills in a 3-1 win over Wheaton on Oct. 16. Rollinson also tallied six kills on two occasions (vs. Mitchell and VTSU Castleton).
 
Freshman setter Mackenzie Marcoux (North Smithfield, R.I.) played in six sets in two matches. She hit .286 (2-0-7) with two kills (0.33/set), 24 assists (4.00/set), nine service aces (1.50/set) and five digs (0.83/set). Marcoux posted two kills, 15 assists, three service aces and three digs in a 3-0 win over Lesley on Sept. 13. She had nine assists and six service aces in a 3-0 win at Anna Maria on Nov. 4.
 
Freshman defensive specialist Noelle Patenaude (Johnston, R.I.) played in three sets in two matches. She registered five digs (1.67/set) on the season. Patenaude tallied five digs in the team's, 3-0, win over Lesley on Sept. 13.
 
Freshman right side hitter Jocelyn Sigouin-Adorno (Fall River, Mass.) played in 29 sets in 13 matches. She hit .081 (36-26-123) with 36 kills (1.13/set), one assist (0.03/set), 20 digs (0.63/set) and three blocks (0.9/set). Sigouin-Adorno registered 11 kills and two digs in a 3-1 win vs. Thomas on Oct. 11. She posted four digs in a game against Westfield State on Sept. 6 and again at Bridgewater State on Sept. 11.
