Wellesley, Mass.--Senior Morgan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished 11^th in both the 50-yard breaststroke (35.56) and the 400-yard medley relay (4:56.91) as Rhode Island College completed the first day of competition at the 2026 Little East Women's Swimming and Diving Championship, held at the Boston Sports Institute on Friday.
 
THE BASICS

• Junior Joanmarie Joly (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished 11th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:59.59) and 17th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:24.38).
 
• Sophomore Taryn Reed (Pascoag, R.I.) finished 11^th in the 400-yard medley relay (4:56.91) and 16^th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:40.34).
 
• Freshman Katelyn Rogers (Woonsocket, R.I.) finished 11th in both the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:59.59) and the 400-yard medley relay (4:56.91) and 19th in the 500-yard freestyle (6:20.57).
 
• Sophomore Marina Pereira (Cumberland, R.I.) tied for 14^th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:16.89) and 15th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:18.04).
 
• Sophomore Meghan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished 11^th in the 400-yard medley relay (4:56.91) and 15^th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:38.96).
 
• Freshman Alana Sousa (Berkley, Mass.) finished 11th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:59.59), 16^th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:19.51) and 21st in the 200-yard backstroke (2:49.90).
 
• Junior Ivy Par (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished 15th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:19.33) and 16th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:20.60).
 
• Junior Abigail Steinhilber (Warwick, R.I.) finished 15th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:19.33) and 19th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:48.09).
 
• Junior Mabel Huynh (North Providence, R.I.) finished 15^th in the 200-yard IM (2:48.11).

• Freshman Victoria Badger (Cranston, R.I.) finished 18th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:41.67).
 
• Junior Kate Clayman (Smithfield, R.I.) finished 11th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:59.59) and 26th in the 50-yard freestyle (30.80).
 
• Senior Olivia Landry (Lincoln, R.I.) finished 15th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:19.33) and 20th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:39.72).
 
• Junior Elizabeth Shepard (Smithfield, R.I.) finished 15th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:19.33) and 19th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:36.79).
