Beacons End RIC's Eight-Game Unbeaten Streak

Boston, Mass.—Senior forward Izaiah Karweh (Providence, R.I.) scored his first career goal as Rhode Island College saw an eight-game unbeaten streak come to an end in a 4-1 setback at UMass Boston on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sophomore midfielder Nathan Capelo (Rumford, R.I.) set up Karweh's goal in the 35th minute as the Anchormen took a 1-0 advantage into halftime.
 
• The Beacons evened the game up in 67th minute and scored what proved to be the game-winner just over six minutes later.
 
• UMass Boston added insurance goals in the 85th and 90th minute to secure their first Little East win of the season.
 
• Junior goalkeeper Elhadji Ndoye (Cranston, R.I.) made seven saves in the loss (0-1-2).
 
• Freshman forwards Luizandro Sanches (Pawtucket, R.I.) and Moise Augustin (Providence, R.I.) led the Anchormen with four and three shots on goal, respectively.
