Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College freshman midfielder Julian Orellana (Providence, R.I.) was named the Little East Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for his performance in the Anchormen's season-opening, 2-2, tie vs. Emmanuel on Aug. 29.

Orellana set up junior midfielder Ian Mackin (Richmond, R.I.) with his first collegiate assist to pull RIC within a goal, 2-1, then tied the game with a pair of brilliant offensive moves for his first collegiate goal.

Head Coach Kyle Froberg's team is 0-0-1 on the season.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at Roger Williams on Tuesday, Sept. 2 (6 p.m.).
