Jason Potvin (Tiverton, R.I.) allowed just two runs on three hits and struck out five as No. 5 Rhode Island College downed No. 3 Eastern Connecticut, 12-2 (seven innings), in game six of the 2025 Little East Baseball Championship played at Franklin Pierce on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Fifth-year shortstop
Izaiah Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.) and fellow fifth year third baseman
Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) combined for a trio of RBI in the first to help put RIC up early, 4-0.
• Despite the Warriors getting a pair of runs back in the top of the second, the Anchormen put four more markers on the board to extend the lead to seven, 9-2, heading into the third.
• A three-run blast by senior designated hitter
Lucas Pierce (Chepachet, R.I.) in the fourth put RIC in the driver's seat as Potvin shut down Eastern's offense for the remainder of the contest.
• Parrillo, Rivera and Pierce each knocked in three runs. Parrillo went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a run scored and a triple. Rivera went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI. Pierce scored three runs.
• Potvin earned his second win (2-1) of the season.
• The Anchormen avenged a doubleheader sweep at the hands of the Warriors, who outscored RIC, 20-2, on April 4.
