• Both Trzepacz and Parrillo came into today's twinbill with 215 career hits, one shy of RIC's program record (216).

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE
• Sophomore second baseman
Parker Camelo (Bristol, R.I.) hit a solo home run in the third to tie the game at one apiece.

• The hosts came right back in the bottom half of the third with another run to retake the lead, 2-1.Â

• The Anchormen found life in the top half of the fifth frame as fifth-year right fielder
Justin Wardwell (Westport, Mass.) started a six-run burst with an RBI double to right.

• Senior designated hitter
Lucas Pierce (Chepachet, R.I.) singled, which brought in another run, then Parrillo blasted his first long ball of the season to give the Anchormen a, 7-2, lead.

• Parrillo notched his record-breaking 217
th hit in the eighth inning as the Anchormen built their advantage up to six, 8-2.

• Trzepacz (2-for-5; two RBI) matched Parrillo (2-for-5; two runs scored; three RBI) with the career hit record on an RBI single in the ninth.
• Fifth-year pitcher
Terry Murray (Norfolk, Mass.) threw for a complete game and struck out six to earn the win (3-4).

GAME TWO
• The nightcap began by both teams combining for nine runs in the first inning. Trzepacz smacked a two-run homer and junior left fielder
CJ Almagno (North Providence, R.I.) ripped a two-run double.

• The visitors put the game out of reach with seven runs over the next two innings. Trzepacz belted another two-run bomb in the second and fifth-year shortstop
Izaiah Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.) notched an RBI single in the third.

• RIC added three more runs and the game was called after eight innings due to thunder and lightning.

• Trzepacz went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, two homers and four RBI. Parrillo went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a double and one RBI.

Ben Nowinski (Barrington, R.I.) allowed just one hit and struck out six in three innings of work to secure his second win of the year (2-0).
