Travis Chartier (Rehoboth, Mass.) was named the Little East Men's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week for his performance in a 3-0 week for the Anchormen.
It is the third time this season that Chartier has been named the Player of the Week and it marks his fourth Rookie of the Week award.
He went 2-1 at both No. 1 singles and doubles as RIC downed Western New England, 6-1, on April 21, Western Connecticut, 8-1 on April 23 and Southern Maine, 9-0, on April 25. RIC wrapped up the program's first-ever Little East Regular Season Championship and secured the No. 1 seed in the upcoming 2025 Little East Men's Tennis Championship, which begins on April 29.
Chartier paired with senior
Noah Morin (Smithfield, R.I.) for an 8-4 win at first doubles, then won in straight sets (7-6, 6-2) at No. 1 singles, in the win over WestConn. He partnered with Morin for an 8-0 shutout at No. 1 doubles and won in straight sets (7-5, 6-0) at first singles in the victory over the Huskies.
For the season, Chartier is 10-1 in singles and 8-3 in doubles.

Adam Spring's team has won 10 straight matches and is 10-1 overall and 6-0 in the Little East.
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host the winner of No. 5 Southern Maine vs. No. 4 Western Connecticut in the semifinals of the 2025 Little East Championship on Thursday, May 1 (3:30 p.m.).
