Owen Schenck (Warren, R.I.) won the 800m (1:56.48) as the Rhode Island College men's track and field team competed at Southern New Hampshire's Ed Daniels Invitational on Monday.

• Rhode Island College finished third (13 teams) with a team score of 96.0. UMass Lowell won the invitational with a team score of 146.0.

Loudon Chupas (Colchester, Conn.) qualified for the N.E. Div. III Championship with a first place and personal-best finish the high jump (1.98m) and placed third in the javelin (55.83m).
