• Stevenson got the run right back in the next inning on an RBI single of its own.

• RIC once again answered the call as Pierce scored off a single by senior first baseman Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) in the bottom of the second to regain the lead.

• The Anchormen put one run across in the fifth before Pierce crushed a two-run shot to center field to drive in fifth-year shortstop Izaiah Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.) for the team's final two runs.
