Lucas Pierce (Chepachet, R.I.) went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI as Rhode Island College completed a doubleheader sweep with a 5-1 win over Stevenson in the nightcap played at Griffith Field on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen wasted no time in the first inning as sophomore second baseman
Parker Camelo (Bristol, R.I.) smacked an RBI single to put RIC up by one.

• Stevenson got the run right back in the next inning on an RBI single of its own.

• RIC once again answered the call as Pierce scored off a single by senior first baseman
Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) in the bottom of the second to regain the lead.

• The Anchormen put one run across in the fifth before Pierce crushed a two-run shot to center field to drive in fifth-year shortstop

Jake Foster (Lincoln, R.I.) pitched four innings and notched four strikeouts to earn the win (1-0) for the Anchormen.
