HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sophomore second baseman
Parker Camelo (Bristol, R.I.) started off the game with a double and would score the first run, thanks to a Parrillo double, in the top of the first.
Â
• The Cougars were quick to answer, recording three hits through their first three batters to even up the ballgame at one apiece.
Â
• Clark would then take the lead with a two-out solo home-run in the bottom of the third inning.
Â
• An RBI-single in both the sixth and seventh innings, to go along with a fielding error from the Anchormen, quickly gave the Cougars momentum as they built a four-run, 5-1, advantage.
Â
• The hosts plated three more runs in the bottom of the eighth to put the game out of reach.
• Fifth-year pitcher
Samuel Gray (Rockland, Mass.) was dealt the loss (0-3), striking out eight in six innings of work.
