Parker Camelo (Bristol, R.I.) went 3-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base as Rhode Island College fell to Johnson and Wales, 10-3, in the team's home opener at Pontarelli Field on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Wildcats wasted no time getting runners on base with a lead-off single and a walk to start the first, which led to a two-run double and an early, 2-0, lead.

• The Anchormen gained some life back in the bottom of the third as a runner scored on a wild pitch to cut the deficit to two, 3-1.

• Johnson and Wales responded with another two-run hit, this time on a single to center field, to push the lead to four, 5-1, in the fourth frame.

• Senior catcher
Lucas Pierce (Chepachet, R.I.) belted his team leading fourth home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth to pull RIC within three, 5-2.

• Another run in the fifth and a pair in the sixth helped the Wildcats win for the third time in their last four contests.
• RIC sophomore pitcher
Stephen Sullivan (Acton, Mass.) was dealt his first loss (1-1) of the season, going 3.1 innings and striking out five.
