Boston, Mass.--Senior Samantha Sainristil (Cranston, R.I.) earned All-New England honors with a second place finish in the weight throw (17.02m) at the 2025 New England Div. III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship, held at The Track at New Balance on Saturday.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College finished tied for 16^th (28 teams) with a team score of 13.0. Williams finished first with a team score of 142.50.
 
• RIC trailed only Southern Maine for second among Little East institutions competing at the meet.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sainristil's effort was the second-longest of her career.
 
• Freshman Quiana Pezza (Cranston, R.I.) finished 14^th in the triple jump (10.80m).

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2025 NEICAAA Championship, held at the Reggie Lewis Center on Friday and Saturday, March 7-8.
