Rhode Island College (4-3)
Williams (5-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The two squads combined for 43 fouls and 30 turnovers in a physical, slow-moving contest on the day.

• The game was tied until about the six-minute mark of the second half when RIC began to pull away, thanks to a three-pointer by sophomore guard Jalen Claude (New Haven, Conn.) and a pair of free throws by senior guard Loudon Chupas (Colchester, Conn.), which gave the hosts a 58-52 advantage.

• A Bom layup with 3:07 put RIC in the driver's seat with a nine-point, 62-53, lead. The Ephs were able to get within four points on two occasions, but were not able to close the distance.

• Weeks and Bom each pulled down eight boards. Junior forward Xavier Mendez (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished with nine points, four boards and two steals.

• Chupas led the way on the glass with nine boards and equaled senior guard CJ Wilson's (Hartford, Conn.) offensive production with seven points.
