HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen never gave the Bears a chance to breathe at any point during the game as the hosts opened the first half with 23 points off turnovers, which helped RIC lead by 30, 59-29, at halftime.
• Junior guard/forward
Xavier Mendez (Pawtucket, R.I.) started off the Anchormen with five straight points to begin the second half as the offense continued to click on all cylinders.
• Weeks scored 14 of his 22 points in the second half and senior guard
Loudon Chupas (Colchester, Conn.) added 16 points to pace the club.
• Paquette registered career-highs with eight rebounds and five assists.
• RIC posted its largest lead of the season with a 46-point, 105-59, advantage in the second half.
• The 113 points is the most for RIC since Nov. 20, 2004 when the Anchormen lost in triple overtime, 124-117, vs. Ursinus.
