HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen found a seam through the Lynx defense in the 22nd minute as a cross from Cary into the box found the feet of classmate forward

Amber Almeida (Sturbridge, Mass.) linked up to find Cary as she scored what proved to be the game-winner.

• From that point on, Lesley turned up the pressure on the RIC defense and pulled within one, 2-1, in the 32
nd minute.

• Neither team really controlled the pace at the start of the second half until sophomore midfielder
Hannah Rezendes (Bristol, R.I.) had her shot saved in the 69th minute.

• The Lynx nearly equalized in the 89th minute after a pair of shots missed, with one ringing off the post and out.
