HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen came into today's action having notched three consecutive shutouts to open the 2024 campaign. Both teams were undefeated.

• A foul in the box awarded a penalty kick to the Judges in the sixth minute, which senior defender Rachel Watler (Stevenson Ranch, Calif.) promptly buried for her first goal of the season.

• The Judges dominated possession for the majority of the contest and built a 2-0 advantage at the half.

• RIC saw its best scoring chance of the day denied by Westfield State senior goalkeeper Hannah Bassan (Aventura, Fla.) in the 68th minute. Junior defender Karen Johnson-Hoffman (Groton Conn.) took a corner kick, which found the head of sophomore midfielder Grace Aukerman (Ashford, Conn.) for a point blank opportunity. Bassan made a diving stop to preserve the shutout.

• Brandeis first-year defender Katie Collins (Littleton, Mass.) scored her first career goal in the victory.

• RIC senior goalkeeper Chloe Angelone (Bayville, N.Y.) played the first half and took the loss (2-1).

• Judges' graduate student Rachel Ross (Portchester, N.Y.) played the first half and earned her third shutout victory (3-0) without having to make a save.

• Brandeis has not allowed a goal in its first three games of the season, a span of 270 minutes.
