Providence, R.I.--Senior midfielder Anthony Recinos (Providence, R.I.) scored for the second consecutive game and also assisted on a trio of goals as Rhode Island College picked up its first win of the season in a 6-1 drubbing of Fitchburg State at Alumni Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Rhode Island College opened up the scoring five minutes into the game off a corner kick from Recinos, whose ball found the head of junior back Lucas Duquette (Wakefield, R.I.) for his first goal of the season.
 
• Not long after, Recinos scored his second of the season off a free kick just outside of the 18-yard box.
 
• The Anchormen would eventually go up, 3-0, off another corner kick from Recinos, who this time found junior defender Daniel Grzybacz (Cumberland, R.I.) for his first career goal.   
 
• Fitchburg State's senior forward Elijah Kalombo (Worcester, Mass.) would get the visitors on the board with their only goal of the day in the 25^th minute.
 
• Not long later, junior midfielder Tariq Adio (Providence, R.I.) extended the host's advantage with his first goal of the season off assists by sophomore midfielder Jackson Fox (Portsmouth, R.I.) and freshman midfielder Nathan Capelo (Rumford, R.I.).
 
• Grzybacz grabbed his second goal off a corner kick by sophomore midfielder Elijah Santos (Wakefield, R.I.), who earned his first career assist on the play.
 
• Recinos' third helper of the game came in the 71^st minute on a free kick pass to junior forward Sekou Kamara (North Providence, R.I.) for his first of the season.
 
• Sophomore goalkeeper Elhadji Ndoye (Cranston, R.I.) secured his first career win (1-0) with three saves.
 
• Five of the Anchormen's six goals came off set pieces.
