Cole Podedworny (Wakefield, R.I.) went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI as No. 6 Rhode Island College fell, 11-3, at No. 1 UMass Boston in game one of the 2024 Little East Baseball Championship on Wednesday afternoon.

• Rhode Island College scored all three of its runs in the top of the fifth. Senior center fielder
Justin Wardwell (Westport, Mass.) led off with a single and eventually scored on an error. Sophomore third baseman
Lucas McElroy (Westport, Mass.) brought in one with an RBI single and Podedworny doubled in what proved to be the Anchormen's final score of the day.
• A seven-run outburst in the bottom of the fifth gave the hosts the lead, 7-3, and the Beacons tacked on four additional insurance runs over the rest of the game.
