Engineers Defeat Anchormen, 10-6

Cambridge, Mass.--Senior right fielder Sean Helfrich (Saunderstown, N.H.) went 2-for-5 with two RBI as Rhode Island College lost at MIT, 10-6, on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Engineers controlled the game early, utilizing a four-run second inning, to build a 9-1 advantage after four frames.
 
• RIC would attempt a comeback bid with three runs in the fifth inning, much in part due to a two-run single by Helfrich, but could not close the gap down the stretch.
 
• Freshman third baseman Parker Camelo (Bristol, R.I.) went 1-for-5 with a double and two RBI.
 
• Sophomore starter Devyn Glenn (West Warwick, R.I.) threw two innings in the loss (1-1).
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East play with a doubleheader at Plymouth State on Saturday, April 26 (2 p.m.).
