• After the Colonels jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter, RIC freshman attacker
Sophie DeFlitch (Hummelstown, Pa.) was able to score with 13 seconds remaining to put RIC on the board just before the second quarter.

• Sweeney scored for the Anchorwomen in the second stanza, but Curry's offense was firing on all cylinders as the hosts built up an 11-2 advantage as the clock hit zero for halftime.
