• After a scoreless first three innings, both sides would bring in two runs apiece in the fourth inning.
• An RBI single by sophomore right fielder
Daniel Cascio (East Hampton, Conn.) would give RIC a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh inning.
• The Wildcats would explode offensively in the bottom half of the seventh, scoring five runs to give the hosts an 8-4 lead and hold on to for the remainder of the contest.
• Johnson and Wales junior reliever
Ryan Schultz (Hebron, Conn.) threw 2.1 innings and struck out four to earn the win (2-1).
