Casey Williams (Watertown, Mass.) hurled seven innings, allowing just one run on three hits to go along with seven strikeouts, to earn his first collegiate win as Rhode Island College defeated Wisconsin Lutheran, 9-4, at the Gene Cusic Classic on Sunday afternoon.

• Junior first baseman
Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) staked RIC to a 3-0 lead with a solo homer in the first and a two-run single in the second.
• Senior designated hitter
Cole Podedworny (Wakefield, R.I.) notched an RBI single in the fourth and classmate shortstop
Izaiah Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.) and right fielder
Sean Helfrich (Saunderstown, R.I.) each ripped RBI doubles in the eighth.
• Trzepacz, Podedworny and Helfrich each went 3-for-6 on the day. Trzepacz knocked in a team-best three runs.
