Providence, R.I.--No. 3 Rhode Island College clinched at least a share of the 2023-24 Little East Regular Season Championship with an 80-41 win vs. Western Connecticut in LEC women's basketball action played at The Murray Center on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• It marks the fourth consecutive year that RIC has clinched at least a share of the Little East Regular Season Championship. The Anchorwomen can claim the outright title with a win in either of its final two regular season contests.

• In addition, Rhode Island College secured the No. 1 seed and a first round bye for the upcoming Little East Championship, which begins on Feb. 20.

• The win extends the Anchorwomen's program-best win streak to 23 games and their home winning streak to 21 games.

Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) scored seven points in the first quarter to help the Anchorwomen build a 15-8 lead.

• Nardolillo would score eight more points in the second quarter to bring her first half total to 15. Fifth-year forward
Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) would pitch in with seven points in the frame to extend RIC's lead to 38-21 entering halftime.

• The Anchorwomen would outscore the Wolves 24-4 in the third quarter, including shooting 5-for-6 from three-point range to take a commanding, 62-25, lead into the fourth quarter.

• RIC played its reserves for a good portion of the fourth quarter.

• Nardolillo finished with a game-high 19 points. Booth ended the contest with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Maggie Schwab (Saunderstown, R.I.) chipped in with nine points and went 4-for-4 from the field.
