Kelsey Gates (Orangeville, Pa.) placed first and tied her program record on floor for the second straight week as Rhode Island College finished third at a tri-meet hosted by Div. II Southern Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Gates finished first on floor (9.900), second in the all-around (35.300), tied for 10
th (9.500) on vault, 13
th on beam (9.175) and 15
th on bars (8.725).
• Senior
Olivia Keyes (Bridgewater, Mass.) was first overall in the all-around (38.300), second on beam (9.775), tied for second on floor (9.825), eighth on bars (9.300) and 15
th on vault (9.400).
• Senior
Emma Tucker (Pompton Plains, N.J.) tied for second on floor (9.825), tied for third on beam (9.750) and was sixth on vault (9.575).
• Freshman
Payton Greene (Mannford, Conn.) was third on vault (9.650).
• It was the third meet this season that RIC and National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) rival Springfield competed at the same meet and the first time that the Pride have edged the Anchorwomen.
