Wilson Penafiel (Providence, R.I.) recorded his first collegiate goal as the Anchormen were downed, 5-1, vs. Bridgewater State at Mazzaferro Field on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC's only contribution came early in the fifth minute as Penafiel found paydirt off a feed from sophomore defender

• After consecutive shots missed in the 40
th minute by the Bears, the hosts were able to sneak one through and tie the contest, 1-1, at halftime.

• BSU netted the game-deciding goal in the 60
th minute as sophomore defender
Hector Bucio (North Easton, Mass.) scored his fourth of the season. The goal opened the floodgates for the Bears, as they scored three times in six minutes to put the contest out of reach.

• Bucio also recorded an assist for a game-high four points.

• Two of the top five leading point scorers in the LEC,  along with five other starters, did not play for the Anchormen as RIC prepares for its final conference matchup of the season this Saturday.

• Sophomore goalkeeper
Elhadji Ndoye (Cranston, R.I.) made four saves and was dealt the loss (2-2).
