Chloe Angelone (Bayville, N.Y.) made three saves to secure her ninth career shutout as Rhode Island College battled Eastern Connecticut to a scoreless tie, 0-0, at Alumni Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Warriors seemed to be the aggressors early on, as two shots were missed wide in the first five minutes.

• RIC's first shot came from senior midfielder
Marissa Ruzzano (Smithfield, R.I.) in the 44
th minute, but was easily handled by Warrior freshman goalkeeper
Alex Ignatowicz (Coventry, Conn.).

Karen Johnson-Hoffman (Groton, Conn.) and sophomore defender
Grace Aukerman (Ashford, Conn.) limited the Warriors to a mere three shots on goal all game.

Amber Almeida (Sturbridge, Mass.) nearly had the go-ahead chance in the 86
th  minute when a one-on-one chance against Ignatowicz at the top of the box was snuffed out by the ECSU keeper.
