Jake Reed (Cumberland, R.I.) recorded a career-high 14 saves as the Rhode Island College men's soccer team tied Plymouth State, 1-1, in Little East action played at Alumni Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The match started even between the two teams, who exchanged excellent scoring chances over the course of the first half. Reed made two saves in quick succession on junior forward
Walter Driscoll (Kittery Point, Maine).

• After 45 minutes of play, Plymouth State held the lead in shots, 12-8. Reed tallied seven saves in the half.

Jackson Fox (Portsmouth, R.I.) took a shot that struck the crossbar and kept the game scoreless.

Jonathan Oliveira (Providence, R.I.) was fouled in the box and awarded a penalty kick in the 62
nd minute. He successfully converted the kick to score his eighth goal of the season. It marked Oliveira's eighth penalty kick goal of his career as well.

Joseph Scolaro (Bristol, R.I.) took a shot in the 75
th minute that was approaching the back of the net but was scooped off the goal line at the last moment by PSU sophomore goalkeeper

Braeden Cannon (Cranston, R.I.) took a header in the 79
th minute, which also hit the crossbar and kept the hosts from notching an important insurance marker.

• With time winding down in the 89
th minute, Panther senior forward
Faisal Abdallah (Pembroke, N.H.) fired a shot from 30-yards out. The well-placed effort sailed into the upper left portion of the net to tie the game.

• Reed recorded 14 saves in the draw (2-1-2).

• Spaulding put up five saves in the contest (0-1-3).
